Interim Research Lead/Manager-Private Equity

Our client, a renowned global private equity firm based in Central London, is looking for an experienced Research Associate/Manager to join their busy Research team for an initial period of 12 months. 

In this role, you will be a senior member of the firm's international Research team. The Research group provides business intelligence services to the firm's various business units, supporting the organisation with qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on a broad range of topics, from industry research to analysis of financial markets.

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Participating and providing guidance on qualitative and quantitative research projects
• Developing strong working relationships with the firm's various business group across all geographies to ensure that the research team's work is aligned with end-user needs
• Managing global workflow, including monitoring quality and ensuring end user satisfaction
• Market data management, including vendor relations and vetting, data evaluation, contract negotiations and end-user contact. 

Candidate Profile

• Top class academics: min 2.1 from a leading university. A degree in Economics or Finance would be an advantage.
• Solid research experience ideally gained within a financial services environment
• Excellent analytical skills and strong knowledge of financial markets
• In-dept knowledge of financial services business tools is required (Bloomberg, Capital IQ etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work multi task and work flexibly
• Robust communication and writing skills
• Knowledge of European or Asian languages would be an advantage 

Logistics

• 12 months fixed term contract with potential for the role to get extended or go permanent
• Start date: Monday 12th March
• Remuneration package: competitive basic salary plus bonus and pension
