Head of Legal Interim

£40,000 - £45,000 +commission +benefits / London

The Role

Our award winning Interim business is currently one of the fastest growing providers of Management consultants in the UK and is now looking for someone to help us become one of the leading providers of legal interims.

This is a highly challenging role. We are looking for someone who is truly exceptional – and who can combine a working knowledge of resourcing within law firms with being able to build a new business unit within the FreshMinds group. You will need to be highly intelligent and analytical as well as being able to clearly develop new business and become an ambassador for the Legal interim team within FreshMinds. You must be great with people, curious, have a good understanding of the legal profession and be a self starter, keen to build your own business.

Responsibilities

Client relationship management:

  • Lead generation activities, relationship building and networking with new clients to identify sales opportunities through outbound sales, direct marketing, networking, direct mails and events.
  • Developing expertise and advising clients on their assessment and selection methods.
  • Client relationship management during the sales and delivery phases of the project, identifying opportunities for further recruitment.

Candidate relationship management and management of the delivery process:

  • Candidate networking: attraction of outstanding new candidates into the Talent pool via innovative and broad-ranging, sustainable techniques.
  • Interview and assessment techniques to assess candidates and understand their needs.
  • Presentation of CVs to the client, showing high levels of judgment and business understanding.
  • Giving open, honest and timely feedback to candidates, maximising their prospects of interview success.

Other:

  • Involvement in process improvement and/ or product development.  These activities are likely to be focused mainly on creating commercial opportunities.
  • Mentoring team members.
  • Training for team members.
  • Working on the size, breadth and quality of the Talent pool.
  • Help in cross selling and cross-delivering - providing leads and candidates to the Graduate and Interim teams and to FreshMinds Research wherever possible.

What we’re looking for...

  • You’ll come from a recruitment background with specific experience in a legal recruitment consultancy, dealing with candidates and clients of the highest calibre. Alternatively, if your background is in law and you are a qualified professional looking to make a career change you’ll need experience of and insight into managing client relationships.
  • You’ll be an ambitious self-starter with an impressive track record of consistently exceeding your targets through delivering on existing relationships and proactively opening up new ones.
  • You will demonstrate drive, originality and enthusiasm in your approach to challenges. Most importantly, you’ll act with integrity and have a real understanding of complex business issues.
  • You must have excellent people skills and be a strong communicator at all levels – confident and outgoing, with an excellent phone manner and extremely professional approach. You must also be adept at building relationships with high-calibre individuals, and be a persuasive and sympathetic speaker.
  • You will need to be well-organised, and have the ability to manage your own and others’ time successfully. You will need to come across to clients as professional and credible, and must have strong, confident presentation skills, including good written and spoken English.
  • It goes without saying that to represent our first-class candidates you’ll need brilliant academics yourself – so a minimum ABB at A Level and a 2.1 at a top University will be required.
